Events are staged in our community more than 20 times a year, which allows businesses and nonprofit organizations to display their products and services to event attendees. Ranging from a few hours to a day or two in length, community events attract up to 10,000 attendees. Health fairs, home and garden shows, ecology events, concerts and events tied to sporting activities will attract people with a special interest and a strong propensity to buy related products and services.

Smart marketers include event marketing as part of their regular marketing mix, alongside other channels, including print, digital, radio, TV and direct marketing. In fact, many events offer exhibitors and sponsors low cost or no cost promotional opportunities through their use of mixed media marketing. In addition to displaying your products and services at the event, your name as a sponsor or exhibitor can appear in a variety of marketing channels all over town. Often, these campaigns last for months.
